DoD’s SkillBridge Program Helps Sigmatech Discover Valuable Military Talent

Huntsville, AL, Dec 2, 2022– Sigmatech, a government contracting, program management, and management consulting service company, is pleased to announce our participation in the DoD Skillbridge Program.

Sigmatech is a SkillBridge organization that has been authorized by the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense through the official Memorandum of Understanding to work with each of the applicable branches of the military Services and respective installation commanders to develop SkillBridge training programs for their personnel.

The DoD SkillBridge program allows Service members to gain valuable civilian work experience through industry-specific training, apprenticeships, or internships during the last 180 days of service. SkillBridge connects Service members with industry partners, like Sigmatech, in real-world job experiences.

Jessica Navan, Sigmatech’s Human Resources Generalist states, “We have a 57% veteran workforce at Sigmatech.  Given our company’s track record on hiring veterans, and the difficulty some Service members experience in transitioning to a commercial work force, this program is a great way to support the veteran community while also potentially adding experienced members to our team.”

Service members should contact their installation SkillBridge point of contact for details about Service and command-specific guidance about the SkillBridge approval process. Service members can also submit a question through the SkillBridge Contact Us link at to be placed in contact with an installation-level program manager.
